The process of registering a firm in Tamil Nadu involves the following steps

Choose a business name: 
Choose a unique name for your firm that is not already taken by another registered company in Tamil Nadu.

Obtain Digital Signature Certificate (DSC): 
A DSC is a secure digital key that is issued by the certifying authorities in India. You will need to obtain a DSC for at least one of the partners or directors of the firm.

Obtain Director Identification Number (DIN):
 Every director of the company needs to obtain a DIN from the Ministry of Corporate Affairs.

Apply for the company registration: 
You can apply for the company registration either through the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) portal

Pay the registration fees: 
You will need to pay the registration fees through the MCA portal or through the professional who is assisting you in the registration process.

Obtain Certificate of Incorporation:
Once the registration is completed and the necessary documents are submitted, you will receive a Certificate of Incorporation from the Registrar of Companies.

Obtain Permanent Account Number (PAN) and Tax Account Number (TAN):
 You will need to apply for a PAN and TAN for your firm after the registration process is completed.

Register for Goods and Services Tax (GST): 
If your firm is engaged in the supply of goods or services, you will need to register for GST with the GSTN portal.
